Dresscode Project Annual Membership

SALON/SHOP MEMBERSHIP

To become a Dresscode Gender Affirming Salon or Shop and to be included on our website list of safer spaces for LGBTQ2S+ clients we ask you to:

• Commit to creating a safer space for your LGBTQ2S+ clients

• Educate your employees of this commitment

• Share Dresscode Project training resources with all employees who interact with your clients

• You must have a gender neutral pricing menu

• Provide at least one gender neutral washroom for clients or be in the process of moving towards this (a washroom that doesn’t have a male or female sign)

• Hold at least one Gender Free Haircut Club a year (when not in a pandemic)

YOUR MEMBERSHIP INCLUDES

• The Dresscode Project Guide to Creating Gender Affirming Salons, developed in collaboration with The 519

• Your shop/salon added into our online directory of gender affirming salons/shops and stylists/barbers

• Use of our name and logo in your advertisements with proper representation of DCP

• Use of our name/logo and support to host our ever popular Gender Free Haircut Club
